When I bought the Note 2, I did so for the size. I thought the S Pen was a cute gimmick with limited uses but not much more. I was wrong.
My greatest use of it so far has been for remote desktop. I find that remote desktop can be frustrating from a phone primarily because your finger is large and clumsy. Not so with the S Pen. With the little dot on the screen showing you where you are about to click, I feel like I can actually do some work via my Note without wanting to throw it at the wall. Great when I'm out and about and need to check on something that broke or I was waiting to finish downloading/installing/etc.
And I've already used it to do some preliminary design and flowcharting for a major project. I'm actually impressed on how often I grab for the S Pen.
