I miss the "old days"...
When is someone going to come out with a game that is quite like the old classic of Descent. I wish my 1994 copy would run on Win7, etc.
In it's day is was a great "shooter" game without any of the violence and blood that the games today all seem to bring with them.
Descent was all about flying through and exploring mines and shooting the mechanical "monsters" that were lying in wait, and eventually you'd have to find and destroy the reactor. There were several levels that you could play the game at: Novice; Rookie; Advanced; Expert; etc.
They published the original Descent in 1994 (I think) and came out with Descent II about 3 or 4 years after.
Anyway, I just thought it was a great game because you could let any member of the family play it and not have to worry about violence affecting them in any way.
