CEH is a good start but I'm hearing that it's too general if your aiming for Ethical Hacking (a redundant term but I digress). You'll probably want to be looking at the next level of certs above CEH to specialize towards a specific position within a pentest team.

Think the EC's Security Analyst for me next (to read the content at minimum).. maybe network threat testing or network perimeter testing.. we'll see. Makes for good reading content at least (I hear normal people watch sports and stuff).

Anyone out there have stats or info on the demand for EC Council's certs?
