I'm a car and computer nut, and I visited the Henry Ford Museum about ten years ago. I think it is one of the coolest museums a techie could visit. It has great displays of technology since the dawn of the industrial revolution.

The Village in particular is more than a collection of historic structures. Like Williamsburg, VA, it is a place where volunteers come to learn manufacturing methodologies rarely or no longer in use; especially methods that pre-date electricity or electronics. Without places like this, we will lose our knowledge of these methods.
