Win8 definitely targets small screen tablets and other mobile devices.
As I understand simultaneous display of multiple windows is no longer possible.
Hence, Win8 takes a step backwards for users with large screens and Win9 will need to come along and fix Win8 like Win7 fixed Vista.

Also, having one user interface and code base for real PCs and mobile devices is just plain stupid from a user's point of view.

Simply amazing that Apple can get it so right and MS can get it so wrong.
