While the tablet in the enterprise is obvious, the first article, "Connect Android to Windows and Samba shared directories" and "ASUS gets it right with the TF300, but is it too late?" reveal an interesting trend. The enterprise was the exclusive domain (pun intended...) of microsoft and Apple. 90% for the former and the magazine trade for the latter (and schools). Now Microsoft is losing the desktop and Apple is losing the "mobile gambit." Coupled with the recent release of Samba 4 and the death of exchange as the defacto messenging system (GMail, Scalix, et al...) spells the end of an era in a rather public way. Could we be on the verge of the "Open Source Age?"
