I've seen other web sites that load an entire gallery in a reasonable time and have fast switching between pages thanks to some JavaScript magic.

These galleries, on the other hand, take forever to reload their ads and other ancillary stuff every time, making them so aggravating that I usually dismiss them long into loading the second page but before its main content is readable. Even on a fast cable link the server coughs up its material so slowly that one has to be really motivated to sit and wait sometimes for a substantial fraction of a minute per page.
