If it's anything like all the other Windows phones I've used, the phone function will be outstanding.

I just ordered the 8X today from T-Mobile, and am looking forward to moving up to Windows 8 from 7.6 (with my HTC Touch Pro 2). The Touch Pro has been a very good phone, and I am amazed how sturdy the case is, among other things. I have dropped this phone on hard surfaces numerous times, and never had any damage other than scrape marks.

I think what Microsoft has done in making Windows 8 the OS across devices (smartphones, tablets/laptops, servers) is nothing short of brilliant, and market saturation will begin to reflect this in coming months.
