I'm looking for a PC based solution to replace Quicken; An app that can connect to my bank accounts without me having to hand my passwords to an outside agency like Mint. They might have armed guards but I'd still rather control my own destiny. Is there a decent solution out there that doesn't involve web based apps?
I used to use Microsoft Money and Quicken but discovered YNAB. It is based upon the Dave Ramsey "Total Money Makeover" with online training sessions, forum and is continually updated. It even has apps for smart phones. You can download directly from your bank. I have used it for close to 2 years and highly recommend it as being flexible and user friendly.
after signing in using chrome, it keeps saying i've been logged out for 10 mins inactivity or invalid password. tried again on IE and the same thing after resetting password. you can't say it's one of the best when someone can't even access it to check for themselves.

I am surprised GnuCash did not get a mention.
