Is that sometimes you miss the best methods.

Social media methods (which is what is being described) are great ways to network with one's peers. However, the best method is the old method ... face to face. Much as I hate to admit it.

Joining groups like your local PMI chapter (and participating) or similar groups (there are alternatives) are still the best methods. (Actually the best method is getting together for a tea break or lunch is the best but I'm focusing on group networking just as the article did).

The next comment is that networking with your peers is important ... networking with your customers is critical.
