Are your web pages loading too slowly? What tools do you use to optimize performance?
I'll use tools provided by Dreamweaver in the Creative Suite bundle I use to design pages and create graphics. As I have also done SEO for quite a few years now, I just use Dreamweaver's optimization tools for a quick check and do the rest myself at the code level.
For the most part, pages are full of multimedia now and ISP's are fast enough that page load times have become an issue of the past. As long as you optimize graphics an don't write bulky, redundant code, you should be fine.
I've seen thousands of online tweakers, generation tools etc. and they mainly fall flat with a lot to be desired. A good web creation suite covers all the bases, FREE always comes with baggage or bad code.
