Adversising posing as article
Shate on TechRepublic. This article is just advertisement of VMware vCenter without telling how it solves the problems of multi-hypervisor management and of incresing cost of VMware solutions. And it's not even good advertising because it lets lots of questions unanswered behind the promise of simplying VM administration using vCenter: after all, if each hypervisor API doesn't provide enough for a real third-party administrative console, how can vCenter be different from competing products? And if VMware cost is what motivates IT shops to deploy other hypervisors, how can a VMware product solve the cost problem? It's better to stick with some open source multiple hypervisor management tool: it won't solve the problems (as nobody can without collaboration between hypervisor developers) but at least it won't come with an expensive price.
