From what I gather, the app support is non-existent at the moment. If the Surface RT has the apps you need, then it should be a fantastic tablet, but make sure it has what you need, or there's a release date on the missing apps.

I believe with the release of the Surface Pro coming up, the app support should get at least somewhat better fairly soon.
