I got stuck with Windows 8 when I bought my new laptop as well. I love XP, and Windows 7 was ok. But 8 has proven to be a real let down. It is incompatible with much of the programs I need for college, and it is easier to find a needle in a haystack than it is to locate controls in Windows 8. I did, however, find online a list of shortcut keys that really helped. But why was this necessary?
It's a shame I have to borrow a computer with win7 just to do my homework. What a waste.
