The answer is to simplify
Why deal with two incompatible domains, when you can limit the task to just one.
My employer has banned Apple devices, and pushed our ICT dept to gear up to support Android devices. Java is used in many places throughout the company anyway, so there is no additional strain on the training budget.
This was given proper consideration: in tests Apple proved to be unreliable running basic COTS software, whilst we had trouble breaking Android (and we can break anything, given a little effort) even with ports of our own software.
