If your Twitter account is 100%, and I don't mean 99.9% business related it MAY help. But if your personal interests intermix in your business tweets, I see it only hurting. Even then, some HR professionals are reading 100 resumes an hour, I don't see them taking the time to decipher tweet-speak.

Now, for certain individuals, I can see it as a benefit. If you are in advertizing or a looking to run someone's social media presence, for example.
So your resume now contains links to NSFW sites and hosts malware links....

When you're in job search mode, the general rule is 80% professional / 20% personal. That should be considered whether or not you have a Twitter feed embedded in your resume.
