Exactly. What is obsolescence? I actually moved from Office 2000 to 2010 in 2010 because we got a low-cost household licence via my son's school. Otherwise I would still be on 2000. I downloaded the Compatibility Pack to be able to open the newer file formats.
Plus I still use WordPerfect 2000.
