Explain to your employees how shifting the price of hardware onto their shoulders will save enough money to give the overpaid executive a nice fat bonus.

Why does Techrepublic go along with this ripoff of already overburdened employees?

Nothing is being said about how infractions are to be handled, even those by "senior" executives or the "youngsters" who feel that the rules don't apply to them. The who BYOD situation is being treated as a lark with little thought about its inherent seriousness. Infractions should be treated the same way as theft of company proprietary property, both tangible and intangible.
