When I got my Cr-48 I had to adjust to a web-centric existence
I realized in order to get the most out of the Cr-48 (pilot program) Chromebook, that I was going to have to take the time and effort to move things into a web-centric existence. It was not immediate, or full-capable but it has been a great experiment.

Google has done a great job integrating (almost) all of the aspects of general computing with Gmail, Contact, Calendars, Docs, Drive, Google+, Hangouts and more.

My children are using Google Apps for Education which is a fantastic idea. It manages the students and their works, eliminate OS differences and file compatibility for homework without forcing people to buy certain products or types of products to "keep up" or to hope the Library is up-to-snuff.
