What the Mandiant report reveals about the future of cyber espionage

At first in 2005 or so, the PLA was attacking me from military bases, then they got smarter and went to PRC universities, now Mandiant's information on further obfuscation(not surprising to me). However, my latest attack IDS reports show they come from American universities. The question I have is this a PRC redirect? Or - are new teams joining US universities as foreign students and then doing time on the side for the mother country? Inquiring minds want to know!

I don't believe for a minute that US students are wasting their time becoming a new generation of corporate espionage agents.
