Ah, yes! That's why IBM squashed competitors. While IBM's competitors bragged how fast their computers could read punched cards, or how many instructions they could execute in one second, IBM bragged how many payroll checks their computers could print in an hour, or how many inventory items they could handle. They knew what their customers did, and they sold them the abililty to do it.
Microsoft's Windows 8 fails to improve my ability to run Office, search, read email, or reply to bloggers. In fact, it would interefere with my ability to run Office 2003.
