LIke some of the ones featured in user reviews on CNET. This usually only works in Internet Explorer, but Chrome and FireFox usually have a way to uninstall such things anyway. I've never been able to remove plug-ins/extensions in IE using Microsoft's instructions, so these tools are the bomb! bulb
Hi @dendory Patrick and thank you for going so indepth into this. I use FireFox so much I know it's junked up a lot and I shared this on http://www.superb.net/blog/2013/03/01/intelligent-surfing-for-webmasters/ for others like me to do some housekeeping on their browser tools - @JulianaPayson
on your link as well! It might not hurt to check his past articles on TR to get more information.
Patrick,
Well done article for those who do not know about managing plugins. Users of browsers rarely manage plugins efficiently, which can lead to browser bloat and security flaws. I think of it akin to impulse buyers, "oo a nice plugin, I will try it" then they leave the plugin installed. Could you give some best practice tips on how often a user should do a plugin audit?

You can also type "about:support" (in the Address bar) to see more information.

You can reset Firefox from that page.
