People in glass houses ....
Unless I am hiring for some type of journalism position, then I would probably hire someone with gramatical errors. The English language, as I have read, is one of the most difficult languages to learn. Not everyone can be 100% all of the time. I think that knowing English does not equate to knowing your job. I don't think that even knowing how to get your point across the first time is not a requirement. I am sure everyone that has commented here, is seriously weak at some thing that most others can do. Can you change a spare tire or oil in your car? Can you cook a basic meal? Can you balance your finances? Can you present an idea in front of a group of people? All of these questions are basic things that everyone, I think, should strive to be able to do. I am can do all of them quite well, except my finances, but my wife is great at doing them. How do you know if the person who has bad grammar is dislexic or not? My co-worker, who is an AWESOME coder, has horrible grammar due to dislexia. He has to take extra time to review anything he has written. He does not review his emails as much, as it takes quite a bit of time, but he is able to get his thoughts out clearly.
My point being that don't be so judgemental on people. Judge them as a whole rather than just ONE part. Who here likes to be dismissed by their peers for just one mistake?
