many schizophrenics are lucky if they can get anything done. Tardive dyskinesia, on top of everything else, can be a royal _____.

Although I rather suspect we are speaking of multiple personality disorder, here...

Well, doing the JCitizen thing was easy, since I worked up that avatar in the first place. grin JC said he'd like an avatar of Err, but didn't want to give up his Uncle Sam hat. Of course, I took this as a challenge. laugh

edit: Hey! What happened to my original Sts. Valentine's Day wish to Purple and Darryl? I could have sworn I saw it post. Whatever:

Happy Valentine's Day to PurpleSkys and Darryl, and everyone else.

I had the best red velvet cupcake that someone made at work and got flowers and a book of love quotes from my sweetie. love

Here is one of those quotes:

When there is love in a marriage, there is harmony in the home; when there is harmony in the home, there is contentment in the community; when there is contentment in the community, there is prosperity in the nation; when there is prosperity in the nation, there is peace in the world.

What's this about?

As far as I know Valentine's Day was a Massacre, why do you want to celebrate it?

OK I accept that if there where a entire bunch of Pollies killed in one country it would be a good thing Worth Celebrating but I have not seen or even heard of that happening. shocked

Sorry Purple I still don't understand. I looked here on the link you provided but it didn't help

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentine,_New_South_Wales

As for SWMBO she is currently cleaning a 50mm Machine Gun down and I'm not going to ask her anything.

Well they call it a machine gun but it looks much more like a Small Canon to me. The fact that it needs to be mounted to something movable and has it's own special Swiveling Rack is more than a bit of a give away. Not to mention just how heavy those Belt Boxes actually are. sad

Those Tracer Rounds scare me. wink

Not to mention have you seen just how big a 50 mm shell is? shocked

This is a tank with a 50mm gun. It isn't a machine gun, each round has to be loaded one by one.

I would believe yor wife would like to use a .50 calibre (or half inch diameter) machine gun if you forget Valentines day again.
Like this:
http://www.olive-drab.com/images/firearms_mg_m2_04.jpg

Or she could choose a .50 cal sniper rifle like this:
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/images/m-82_020614_06.jpg

Here is a .50 cal round versus normal rifle round shot:
http://www.ttgnet.com/images/50-caliber.jpg

If she is confused about which round to use when here is a handy chart. I recommend she laminate it in case she needs to take it with her outdoors.
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/images/50cal-fig1-14.gif
Remember the dummy round is not to be used against dummies. If you are in your car she needs armour piercing rounds.

Just trying to be helpful

Surprisingly common...
AnsuGisalas Updated - 15th Feb 2011
Dirty Harry, too

Someone would think that a 30mm machine gun would suffice, right?
But in a sniper rifle, why settle for .50cal when one can settle for .598cal

But every third round in the belt is Tracer.

It lets her know where she's shooting. wink

"Tracers work both ways". They may help the shooter aim, but they help the target know where the shooter is. He learned that in the amry, but also applied it as a metaphor for political attacks.

Oh, that is just TOO funny and so true, even down under. There is nothing worse than dissing Valentine's Day. My hubby only did it once and we've been together 35 years. It wasn't pleasant, 'nuff said.

Valentine's day is about love. Do something to show the one you love how much you care. You can buy flowers, candy, or a candlelit dinner for two. Its romantic and you know, it can be a value-added experience (use your own imagination laugh ).

So, tell SWMBO that you love her and can't live without her and give her something sweet and thoughtful in honor of Valentine's Day. You will be good for another year and she won't be cleaning her guns on that day next year.

If he doesn't reform and she doesn't kill him, she is a cinch to be nominated for sainthood.

If I buy her flowers her first question is What have you done now?

As she is a Diabetic Candy is out of the question. I figured that out ages ago after buying some lovely Swiss Chocolate and eating it in front of her. She got upset for some strange reason and beat me up while swearing at me. I don't understand. sad

If there are any candles involves her first thought is ring the Fire Brigade and report a new fire, then she has to remove any candles as she knows I like then way too much for my own good and use them to make Flour Bombs. laugh

But if this helps I did feed her Multi Colored Feathered Fiends not so much because I thought it was a good idea or because it made her life easier but because the 20 monsters sitting on the back landing rail squawking their heads off where driving me crazy. wink

If I tell SWMBO I love her that just leads to a row as she just knows that I've done something she not going to like. I just tell her Yes Dear, Whatever You Say Dear, You must be right. Drives her nuts but also shuts her up. wink

I spent a good part of Valentine's Day at the funeral home and then the bank to deal with hubby's life insurance. I was so certain that I had the most bizarre Valentine's Day, but I have to concede to you. I even got a rose and one to take to my MIL. Chocolate was offered but I declined.

MIL and I celebrated with the knowledge that the two family members we thought were on death's door are rallying. I personally think that my FIL was trying to get out of the whole flowers and card thing, but a week in hospital is kinda extreme so maybe not.

Col, you lead an interesting life.

that rots...one should always enjoy chocolate...I haven't had chocolates for Valentine's in a long time, but I requested it that way. I prefer a surf and turf with a good bottle of chardonnay as a rule, but this year we opted for chinese instead...it was really yummy happy Hope you feel better soon Soni
