It's still freak'n ugly!
Typical bad Microsoft marketing, they showed the start screen and not much else, no explanation on what its for, what it does, nothing, just moving a bunch of surface tablets around in various formations and colours. Each showing the start screen.

It was even worse than the old XP ad with the guy flying around on his desk.
and all of them were ads for how to use it as a smart phone. In one they showed them playing a game, the screen showed a nice large choice of games including Call to Duty, but the only one they played was a second of Pinball.

The ads make ti VERY clear Windows 8 is NOT for enterprise or homes user, but for the person who wants a smart phone or a large smart phone called a tablet.
I just assumed you meant you were trying to view something else and an MS advert popped up at the beginning of your desired content. Please tell me you haven't sunk to the depths of intentionally watching MS ads (or anyone else's). If so, I'd like to introduce you to my good friend, online porn.

Advertise the surface as a premium porn viewing device.
can't view them as they've got DRM and you can't get around it on a Windows system.
No, you can't. That's kinda the point, isn't it? grin
Sound Familiar?
