Job Satisfaction vs Monetary Compensatio
I am currently working in my first job as a network support specialist. I have been working here for a year in a team of two people covering 300 computers and two sites, and have recently found out than in the same company across the road from me, people in a team of 40 covering 3000 computers have a starting salary of one and a half times my pay, along with a fully implemented traing pack, and first level helpdesk support.
I like my job and the responsibility that comes with it, but I need to feel like the company knows my value - and it obviously doesn't.
I stated I would put in my resignation, and was met with a counter offer of "we are looking into things". I have allowed them the time to come up with something, but that also gives me time to look for a more suitable role.
Ultimately, they'll have to find something pretty special...
