Unfortunately, neither the HTML version nor
the printer-friendly version provide anything
more than the author's name and the date.
The rest of the text seems to be missing,
hence the title of my reply.

This quiz is a Flash graphic. If you don't have Flash installed then you will not see it. In the future we'll put a note in the text that indicates Flash is needed and provide a link for downloading it. In the meantime, here's a download link (you'll probably need to copy and paste this into your browser window):

I do have Flash 5 installed, so I presume I need Flash 6. I did try to install that on my FreeBSD 4.x + Mozilla 1.4 but couldn't get it working. Don't tell me TechRepublic is slowly shutting the door on non-Windows users.

As I'm sure you're well aware, Mozilla has a number of issues rendering pages. I would recommend that you try Opera or Netscape.

Great Quiz

May I also receive a copy of the quiz? We are just now starting to explore about WiFi with Palms and Laptops. Also, looking into wireless within the office. Any help is appreciated.

Please, Please, Please read this too. http://techrepublic.com.com/5100-6265-5081839.html?tag=WKYUAN

So many people learn how to set-up a WLAN, but ignore security. Most assume that WEP is enough, but it's not. I can drive around Manhattan and, with no effort at all; almost accidentally connect to someones WLAN. Giving away Free internet access is the least of these peoples problems.

Quiz Nuisance
tracyk@... 18th Feb 2004
I've noticed this nuisance on quizzes before, sometimes it is very distracting... the responses say something like "WRONG, the CORRECT ANSWERS are A and D", but the quiz does not contain the letters ABCDE, nor the numbers 12345, nor any other identifier for the possible answers. It is even more distracting, especially when the answers have different letters.... like question 2, where the answers are 802.11, a, b,g,x and the correct responses are ? 11, B, G, or was that A, C, D?

I think most people with an elementary understanding of WLAN technologies could have aced it.
