It's easier than the article implies: Having installed FreeBSD and OpenBSD, each several times and differant releases, I may have a slightly differant view of the install process. But my experience is that it is quite easy, if you don't have the latest hardware available. On an older machine, as old as an early 486 even, any *BSD release will bring the old machines back to life.

Re: the comment about changing from winblows to BSD...
I made the change though I still have winblows on several boxes at home, which are for gaming. Otherwise I use FreeBSD, OpenBSD or Linux, with FreeBSD the primary. I see no need to go back to winblows. Maybe someone who uses a specialized program would have a problem with this though.
