That diagram is a great idea. I'd love to do it, but I don't have a current version of vision though. I'm stillon Visio 4. Could someone convert those diagrams for me. I'd be much abliged. Thanks,

American Power Conversions Corporation has another good rack tool at http://www.apcc.com/products/netshelter/configurator/
I'm still on Visio 4 too. After the licensing scheme that MS put into place with XP I'm really not interested in sending them more money. This is a fabulously simple idea. I'd like to take advantage of it. Any assistance would be appreciated.
I sent you a zip file of the downloadable stencil and drawing saved as Visio 5 files.
I have Visio 2000 and it does not have an option for Visio 4, so I hope version 5 is compatible with what you have!

I have Visio Enterprise 5.0; also unable to use this download. We are moving some equipment & this appears to be just what could help out. There are probably others as well that are using v4 & 5 of Visio.
Thanks!
Thanks!
This is a good tool that is actually very simple and useful. Compaq has a tool as well you can get from their website. Rackbuilder. They have an online version, but expectedly it is more useful for planning Compaq Racks with Compaq Equipment.
I rate this artical a 5.0 plus. Thank you for offering it. What is also needed is the rear panel of some generic rack equipment showing cards, fibre channel connection ports, numbered patch panel ports to show cable connections port to port. Thanks for listening

Are those files still up? The link is broken? If not can you email them to me at akelly@gce2000.com? Thanks
I think it is rude that you lure people with the 'free registration' and then when registered, still can't download and now there is a 'join tr pro' button instead of a download button. That's pretty lame, you should say in the beginning that it requires tr pro.
I agree with vince; Rick Vanover should be specific in saying that to download you need TR Pro.
Create VISIO Diagram in MS Visio Software, where you can create IT diagrams to simplify complex network diagrams. In addition, the Visio Toolbox Web site delivers more Visio tools to simplify technical diagram and reference materials to maximize your investment and simplify processes.

I would need this Visio stencil, so I could make some schema of rack equipment.
Unfortunately, no luck with the links provided.
Anyone around with valid files, please?
