Hi, the steps outlined above are great and I went through them all for Windows XP version, but it still does not enable my task manager. I had purchased this computer from a previous job so I do not need administrator rights on anything. I was able to go in and both change the settings to "disable" and also "not configured" and then click apply, but then I get out of that (even logged out and logged back in again) and task manager is still greyed out. Is there some other solution.
