When you post a link to a site, it would be nice if the site actually *worked.* The main page paints, but none of the tutorials are live any more, and the comments form tries to submit to a site that is 404.
A quick scouting trip to the home page find the current link resulted in this find for all the courses. Looks interesting.

The word articles are very handy, whether to recap or to learn. However, it would be useful to know what version of eg Word you are covering in your article (or at least the version which covers most of the main points). I have Word 97 and can't find some ofhte menu paths you mention.
Good point - The screen shots were created from Word 2000. The menus have changed since W97 but the general approach is still the same: paragraph-level formatting is the key.
It is said that most users only know how to use 5 - 10% of an applications features and funcftionality. These articles, and the response to the first article, testify to that. Many people could use WordPad and do exactly what they are now doing in Word (or WordPerfect).

I'm trying to copy the TOC from my novel into a new document so I'll have a built-in outline to use in editing. But divorced from the actual page numbers, it gives me all kinds of error messages! How can I un-automate the TOC without losing the text?
I created a customized outline numbered paragraph using Heading styles (which I have modified to suit the look of the document -- font type and size). When I generate the TOC, I am getting the text following the numbered paragraph in the TOC. (i.e. section 1.1 Title. text, text, text). The page numbers are correct and the outline numbers are properly listed. Can you please help me. Thank you.
