I operate a Pentium III (667mghz) with 256 meg Ram. each day at 12:00 our Anti-virus SW (Norton AV Enterprise)kicks off a scan of each file on my PC (last count 117,931). This process takes 38 minutes. during this tiem, the PC is useless.
This practice, running an all files scan is inaddition to the daily verificatin and download of Virus definition upon Bootup and Real-Time file and E-mail protection.
The problem here is a SysAdmin who wears a Belt and Suspenders to hold up his pants
