yeah, well, our Mother Company has a rule that mailboxes should be limited to 50 megs (and they set quotas, too), so our Head Diskspace Consumer was in for a shock when his on-server box shrunk from the 1.2 GB he used to have to the 50 MB he's allowed...
But then, there's a problem when migrating to a new machine - you have to transfer the .nsf, and with 1+ GB this requires zipping and spanning to have it fit on a CD, or else clogging up the LAN's bandwidth for a looooooong time when the file is moved. No perfect solution here...
