Using Shareware program for storing pwd's and PIN's - it's an extremal sport. One can as well mail them all to author. I'm NOT saying anything against this particular programming company, though. It's just general security thing (ISO 17799).
Sorry, but no matter how good the security is intended to be, I think that storing this type of info this way is an inherently bad idea. Some things just seem to be universal truths, like not storing all your eggs in one basket.
Isn't use of a program to store encrypted passwords the whole basis of Single Sign-on solutions? This is merely the client-based version of Single Sign-on.
How about PasswordSafe?
http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/
It's open source (it's now at SourceForge), and it was designed by Bruce Schneier.
I'd trust the security of that a lot more than any closed-source solution.

Apps. like this have been around for years. I used to get spam mail trying to sell them to me for anywhere between $5-$10.
I wrote an app. for myself last year that keeps track of my registrations at web sites, and many of the features outlined here sound similar to some features I once planned to add to it, though it sounds like this app's data security is a lot better than mine.

Hi,
I am using since 3 years now : Any Password from RomanLab software. It may not be the best , but I really love it as it is so simple.
You can download the latest version of the program at www.anypassword.com
PS I am NOT interested in any way on promoting it.

I have been using a similar program called Passwords Plus from DataViz which works nicely. It will also synchronize with Palm OS PDAs which lets you use it when logged on to computers other than your primary one.

For those of us who do not want to install the .NET framework, this requirement of the software would be a nice addition to the installation section of the program highlights.
AI RoboForm (http://www.roboform.com) provides pretty much the same features as KeyFolder and goes a bit further.
One useful feature is that it can be set to ignore selected sites.
Another is that it recognizes when you log in to a new site and offers to remember the user id and password, so they don't have to be recorded in a separate step.
You don't have to copy data to the clipboard and paste it into forms. When you go to a recognized site, RoboForm pops up a window that offers to complete the log in for you with 3 single-click button options: No (do not fill the form), Fill only, and Fill and Submit.
It's not limited to log in forms, either, it can complete personal data on nearly any form (e.g., order forms), including personal name and address, business name and address, credit card data and so on, with a single click. It can even make selections from drop down lists (e.g., honorific, state, country, even age group) and set option buttons (e.g., sex) in most cases although not always perfectly.
You can drag data directly from RoboForm's file to online forms, but it's usually not necessary.
A limited function freeware version is available for individuals and a full-function Pro version can be had for $30.
The freeware version is limited to 3 identities with 30 passwords each and the passwords can't be viewed or edited directly (although existing passwords will be replaced if you log on to a recognized site with a new user id or password, and they can be deleted). A few other options are also disabled.
The Pro version has unlimited identities and passwords and enables all features.
I have no interest in this vendor, I'm just a reasonably satisfied user.
