While engineers, teachers, and IT Know-it-alls are bad, for my money, the WORST are the salespeople. They're daring enough to try, egotistical enough to AssUMe they know, and usually decidedly non-technical. They want to run 15 power-sucking apps while listening to music, and whine that the PC is slow. They do things like copy their entire C drive over the network to someone else's PC, get a new machine, and copy the C drive back into their "My Documents" folder and leave the old one out there "as a backup"(TRUE- he did it THREE TIMES before being caught). Plus they want features, features, features. They don't want to spend a dime on infrastructure but by God they want Bloatware. And they always looooove AOL.

I once received a support call from a staff member who was having problems moving the mouse pointer to click on the File menu in Word. Repeated instructions to move the mouse pointer to the word "File" and click on the left button seem to be unsuccesful. I then decided to see for myself what exactly was wrong. Lo and behold, the guy had the mouse off the mouse mat and was pointing the entire mouse towards the "File" menu!!!
