Windows98 incorporates a recovery system for Word, Excell etc. When my computer shuts down due to a drop in power supply, Word will always open with the last program that was worked on with " ~$-Title of Document" (Recovered) added.However, I find this artical very useful. What I would like to add is this. if and when windows crashes and Scandisk fires up and find fragments of files and makes into a File000.chk, Can be opened in Notepad and renamed most of the time it can be saved as if nothingwas lost.
