Financial Impact on Small Companies
To quote the business section of the Dallas Morning News (July 20 early edition) "Because of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, the average cost of small to midsize companies staying public will increase...90 percent". This is based on a study by the law firm of Foley & Lardner.
This study excludes the IT costs associated with compliance.
Perhaps the best advice the IT director can make is to take the company back private.
