As a supervisor, ask a team member, "What questions should I be asking about this project?" You will learn as much about the employees abilities, priorities and interests as you will about the project. The bonus by-product of the information is often a more motivated team member.

Before asking any question - check if you are allowed to ask questions! Once the answer is "yes", then you can not be at fault for asking.

If you are interested in specific information that you feel was not properly explained, how do you ask this without coming off as unguided. Often, too many questions reflects poorly on you.
