Being a retired USAF Colonel, we had a saying "Communicate, coummicate, communicate like your life depends upon it. Because in war your life does depends upon it. So, please folks do not ever think that the soldiers do not know and support the Big Picture, because they do. The same goes for any IT Projects and your team is your soldiers and they need at the right time to know what is going off with your project and your/their work situations. This is a must and without it your project will fail.
