My what a busy day you have.
Has it occurred to you that perhaps you'd find life easier if you started an after school club?
Ok, maybe not all of your students will want to attend, but there will be the ones that started life like me: I.E. Trying to work out how things work.
You might be surprised at the attendance, the ones that are obviously bored at your classes may just be so because they don't have enough challenges (Rather than the opposite truth which is that they have no interest in PC's"). Asking them to bring back to life a PC that's so obviously dead, or fathom out what's wrong when a PC keeps crashing can't do you any more harm than is already done, can it? And at the end of the day, maybe you'll get a small gathering of followers that can take some of your work load (For FREE!!!!) If you have enough interested students, you could actually TEACH them how to fix computers by example, rather than using some On-Line programme. Funnily enough, that's the reason why wewere asked to cut up frogs as kids! There's no substitute for actually seeing the thing being done!
Computers can be a nightmare at the best of times, but getting help from the "fiddlers" who keep breaking them in the first place could save you time and effort in the long run. Further more, you could end up with some students who know and are interestd in PC's, they might even end up as Department Heads like me!
