Had a client with PalmConnect USB & XP Pro. Tried a half dozen reinstalls with latest drivers (referred to in article), older drivers, Win2000 drivers - nothing worked. Tried a TrippLite USB/serial adapter - it installed right first time & Palm syncs through it happily.

Ditch the PalmConnect until Palm figures out how to write XP drivers!
