Consultants: To think that consultants are different than any other part of their industry is naive. In fact, a company of consultants may be the epitome of sheer ego and techno babble personified.
A company that hires a consultant especially for Internet related or IS&T projects and enables that consultant (firm included) to become a working part of the company (making decisions as compared to recemmending decisions) deserves everything they get.
And, don't forget IBM, HP and Sun, etc.Their sales people act like consultants and their threats to do business their way or else is used more often than not.
