If You have the money go for the best Cert that fits your goal.If you dont have it...
Stay focus on your experience and build on it.
Remember one important thing:

when you go to a enterview if youget someone from the Human resources the best intro is for you to have some certs.
On the other hand if he's a IT pro the very best thing is to anwser is questions...

...I had the luck of being interviewed by the dir. of the IT Depart...with me there was some MSoft Certs and others with academic diplomas, and i got the job...You see although my poor writing, I started in this buiseness in 1981 and now-a-days everybody gets certified.

You dont have problems with certs, you just need luckfor being interwied by someone who praises knowlodge over a Certification that builds on 8 to 1 year experience.

...Of course there's allways Cisco CCIE and the Solaris - Oracle Certs if you have the money, they are the best certs for getting attention...
You see nobody MASTERS them without years of EXPERIENCE (Not the MCDBA months of books).
