Unfortunately, ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) doesn't allow to use any other ip address for gateway but 192.168.0.1 :(((
You need to use 3rd party internet firewall/proxy server program...

we are using proxy but it is not supported outlook sharing.
My problem is I want to enable ICS but my PDS is alresdy having 192.168.0.1. when I enable ICS, it assign 192.168.0.1 to the ICS computer, compflicting with PDC.

I saw it is possible to change default 192.168.0.1 in windows 98 so dont understand why it is not possible in XP
thanks

I used it(WProxy 2.1) for case when the DSL gate had been connected directly to HUB of local office net(It is not recomended variant in Windows XP intranet configuration, but it is possible) and i need to note that all are working(All computers have access to internet via IE or MS Outlook.). Select one computer from your office net, then install there Internet connection via gate by reccomended IP and MASK from ISP, type DNS server also. After it install the WinProxy 2.1 programm. Now you can adjust every computer into your office net for accessing internet via proxy server. (Next minimal settings you need: Into LAN settings of connection properties you need type the ip address of proxy server(it is second ip address of computer where you installed WinProxy, because main address you need use for accessing to gate of ISP) and the port address (usually it is 80).

Thank you for your reply.

I have some questions how outlook express work via proxy.
To work pop3 and smtp it needs port 25 for outgoing and port 110 for incomming. so we need to configure proxy for outgoing connection for port 25 but outlook doesnt allow this.

even outlook uses IE settings for this, there is no way to specify proxy for port 25(SMTP)in IE.

we can guess this happen automatically with microsoft ICS.

thanks
