i use nbtscan although i have not tried it out on non-contiguous network addresses, but it should not be difficult to make script to send it different ip ranges.
looking through this, there's IP addresses all over the place.
A more structured approach would be to have an array of classes, with the IP address and Message string associated. Then iterate through the collection.

If you are going to repeatedly modify the script. However, this script started out as a troubleshooting tool to find which link in the chain was failing for a problem segment. cut and paste was easier for expanding the script and easier to understand.
