Ignore the small security risks?
You are right Tony. Because if there is no protection plan at your site against unauthorized USB's and such, then why bother? And I'm laughing too if you just protect floppy drives! That would be funny, and pathetic.

We have a lot of computers over 5 years old with lots of floppies. And lot's of Physical Therapists who refuse to move away from them. And we are next to one of the most Virus ridden colleges I've ever heard of. And there is disket traffic between us. People infecting their diskets in class and bringing them to work. And despite strict requirments on virus scanning, we still get hit sometimes. So we will look at this.
We're working on disabling unauthorized USB usage, and are talking about dumping all burn drives but our own. Security audits can be Very stimulating!
