RE: Indefinite Article
Cliff,
I wrote up the benefits of System Mechanic, as I've found it very helpful in my consulting practice. The ability to use one license on multiple systems (and for multiple clients) has proven critical more than once. This is especially true when the suite collects so many troubleshooting and repair utilities.
The software's simplicity and ease of use save me time and effort. While System Mechanic may not be as sophisticated as Winternals Administrator's Pak, it's more budgetable and I felt that worth writing about.
It's not an ad. If it were I would have talked about how, in many cases, it's the only piece of software a client may require. Nor is it a review. In short, I wish someone had told me about the software package earlier
As for Symantec, I used to use Norton's products, too. However, I encountered (for me) simply too many extraneous issues ultimately related to registry or other changes Symantec software made. So many that I abandoned use of its tools (with the exception of Partition Magic).
