Here's a link to computer related jobs with the Federal government http://tinyurl.com/ba9mz, as of this posting there are 305 jobs listed. If you're curious about the salaries, here's a link to the Office of Personnel Management's salary tables http://apps.opm.gov/ssr/tables/index.cfm. These tables are for general schedule grades 5 through 12.

I've been with the government for 13 years and 7 of which in the IT field. Stable employment with benefits, retirement plan, and the ability to move if the opportunity arises. So far, I've moved three times from Alaska to the high plains and back to Alaska. I've learned that if you want to advance and get promoted you have to be willing to relocate. There is a new online tool that allows IT professionals to compare information concerning salary, job skills, and roles based on geographic location using Google Maps. It also gives you an ideal of demand based on the number of IT jobs advertised. Check out these IT Job Market Stats.

I do like these kind of downloads you do, but I have one criticism, they're all US based.
It might be out of scope, but any chance of doing something like this for your friends overseas?
