I think the article overstates the security of WEP. WEP by itself doesn't actually protect your system from Hackers [Crackers?]. It only makes the process take a little longer (typically less than a day). WEP does protect from casual wireless usersthat might accidently stumble on to your network while there walking through your parking lot.
128 bit WEP should be implemented as an absolute minimum for *ALL* (US?) Wireless installations. In addition, it should be used in connection with a VPN in any installation that requires any degree of security. A Wireless IDS can add yet another level of assurance.
Closing (but not locking) the front door of your house is to Home Security what WEP is to Wireless Network Security.
The article was a nice introduction to the concept of using and configuring WEP, but it really should have made it more clear that WEP alone is not secure.

do you think that MAC filtering is better than WEP in order to get high Security for Wireless network.
Or Both would be better.

MAC filtering is not 'better' than WEP. It should be used in conjunction with WEP and other security measures.
While MAC filtering presents another hurdle for an attacker, it doesn't provide a great deal of security. The MAC address is easily configurable and many wireless nic's allow you to change the MAC address as just another configuration option. There are free tools available that enable an attacker to capture MAC addresses. Therefore, it is trivial for an attacker to capture a MAC address from your traffic and reconfigure his card to impersonate a valid card.

WEP takes 1 to 100 hours to break depending on traffic.
MAC takes 10 seconds to spoof.
WEP is simple to use and MAC is extremely difficult.
Both are not secure but at least WEP can be used for minimal security.
WPA or CCX is the solution.

WEP is certainly better than no security at all and your tutorial of how to configure it worked when I followed your process.
