We are trying to Map a network drive from a Windows 2000 Server using the servers full DNS name. After the user puts in the Drive letter, Path to the resource, User Name and Password they get the following error, "A duplicate name exists on the network". There is not duplicate name on the network and both machines are on the same subnet. We can map to the IP address, map to the machines actual name but not to the full DNS name. Any ideas....
